Way to Hotel

The easiest and most pleasant way to get there in summer is by sea. Turyol or IDO ferries depart directly from Istanbul (Eminonu, Kadikoy or Bostanci) to the Çınarcık pier. The cruise takes about one hour with nice views of the Prince Islands on its route. From Çınarcık pier, Harmanlar district where Hotel is located can be reached easily either by a short taxi drive or a pleasant walking experience along the seaside promenade for 15 to 20 minutes. In winter months these direct ferry schedules are drastically reduced or canceled so alternative routes have to be taken.

If coming from Istanbul, the drive is short either via Osmangazi Bridge or IDO car ferries to Yalova/Topçular. From the center of Yalova, west for about 15 km to Çınarcık. Very nice coastal road with forest and sea, unfortunately in summer on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons this road becomes a nightmare because it is a single-lane road in many parts. In fact,this is one of those roads where you can travel at any speed during winter but not faster than 20km/h during summertime.

For those who came by public transportation except for the direct ferry to Çınarcık, you will be dropped at the Yalova IDO terminal. From there, take a short walk to the minibus station where you can board a "Çınarcık-Yalova" dolmuş(minibus). They are either yellow or blue and depart every 15-20 minutes. Tell the driver that you are getting off at Harmanlar or specifically mention Lion Hotel; he will drop you on the main road (Vali Akı Caddesi), from which only one block down towards the sea brings you to its entrance.
